REFRESHMENTS:
The cake-
This is how you make a heart shaped cake if you don't have a heart shaped pan.
Step one- Bake one square cake and one round cake.
Step two-  Cut the round cake directly in half.  Slide each half onto a side of the square.

BEVERAGES:
Love Potion Punch-
There is alot of red, fruity flavored drinks out there.  Hawian Punch is good stuff.  For extra kick, add a carbonated clear soda such as 7up or Sprite or something lemony-limey.  Label your drink; *Warning*  extra strength love potion- will make you giggle!  Be careful though, carbonated drinks loose their "punch" fast if you make it too early.

FOODS-
Red Gelatin Hearts-
1 c. unsweetened frozen apple juice concentrate
( MP used to work in an apple juice factory but got "fired" cuz she couldn't concentrate.)
1 c. water
2 envelopes plain gelatin
1 t. unsweetened raspberry Kool-Aid
1 lg. can of fruit cocktail
1 sm. container of cool whip

In a saucepan, bring to a boil the first two ingredients.  Remove from heat then add the next two ingredients.  Stir until dissolved.  Pour the mixture into a rectangular cake pan that has been sprayed with nonstick vegetable cooking spray.  chill until set.  Then use a cookie cutter to cut heart shapes in the gelatin.  Lift them out carefully with a spatula.  Arrange the hearts on small plates. Top with fruit cocktail and coolwhip.  Makes approx. 12 hearts.

Heart Tarts-
Cut out some heart shapes from pre-made pie dough rolled 1/8" thick.  Place half of the hearts on a cookie sheet and top each with a teaspoon of straberry jam.  Cover with another dough heart.  Seal the edges with a fork and prick the top.  Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes.  After they are removed from the oven and cooled down, sprinkle with confectioners sugar or sugar crystals.

ACTIVITIES TO CHOOSE FROM WITH MISS PRISS:
"Illusion" show-
Message, mystery, silliness and fun.  Lots of group participation, featuring the special birthday boy or girl for a birthday-type party.  Approximately 20-30 min. long.

Sculptured balloons-
Children and adults alike enjoy watching and wondering "How in the world does she do that?"  Many many to choose from.

Within the whole facepainting kit there is facepainting, nail polish, makeup and /or tattoos for activities.

"Hearty Party" Games-
There are no limits to which or how many games we can play.  Just remember your time.  Adult assistance is requested.  As sometimes, two games are played at the same time. Some prizes included.  The only games that are extra charge is the "mini-me" pinata.

HEARTY PARTY GAMES WITH MISS PRISS-
Pin the Lips on the Clown-
While blindfolded, the child will attempt to get the target by placing lips on Miss Priss board game.

Candy Hearts Guess-
Every child will get a chance to guess how many piece of candy are in the container. Whoever guesses closest to the amount WINS the whole thing!

Flying Hearts-
At the shout of "HEARTS HIGH", the children gently toss a bunch of hearts on a blanket up into the air.  The object of the game is to make the hearts fly off the blanket and to catch one very special heart that has a hidden candy pouch.  One-by-one, oeach child is dismissed from the game after s/he has caught the candy prize. Finally, at the end of the game, the only thing left are all the other lonely hearts, which are then given out to each child for a later activity. That will be found in the treat bags.  See pencil and straw toppers below.

EXTRA ACTIVITIES TO MAKE OR DO:
Pencil and straw toppers-
Turn ordinary drinking straws into party straws by sliding on small valentines.  In the center, cut two horizontal slits, one at the top another at the bottom of the heart.  Put them on pencils too.  The straws and pencils are in the party favor treat bags and the hearts are given out in the Flying Hearts game.

Heart People-
Supplies needed:  Scissors, glue, ribbon, yarn or elastic for the hangers.  Wiggly eyes (optional) and red, white, and/or pink construction paper.

Step one- Cut out two different size and different color hearts from the construction paper.  It is very easy if you fold the paper in half and cut half of the heart on the fold.  Glue the two hearts together as shown.
Step two-  fold one piece of paper like a fan.  Then cut four long strips for two arms and two legs.  Glue them in place.
Step three-  Glue on eyes, nose and a mouth and the string at the top to hang your heart person by.

EXTRA GAME IDEAS TO PLAY:
"Honey, Do You Love Me?"
Players form a circle.  One player sits in the center. (IT)
The center player must approach another player and ask, "Honey, do you love me?"  The player being questioned must respond with "Honey, I love you but I just can't smile."  If s/he does smile or laugh, s/he now becomes the (IT).  The two players trade places.  The person who is "IT" is not allowed to touch other players but may make as many funny faces as s/he wishes to get them to smile.  Sounds like fun!

Cupid's Arrow-
A target game using a toy dart gun.  Assign points to candy prizes or just tape candy to the targets.  Whoever gets the closest to that particular candy wins it.

Pounding Hearts Relay-
Divide the players into two groups.  Give each team a heart balloon.  The first player of each team will place the balloon  between their knees and hop to the finish line.  They hop back again and pass the balloon to the next player in line.  Repeat until all players have had a turn.  The first team to finish WINS!

Eat Your Words-
Players form a circle.  Each player takes about five pieces of candy conversation hearts that are being passed around the circle in a bowl.  The first player starts telling a story including one of the words from one of their pieces of candy.  The game continues on with the next player adding a sentence to the strory using one of the words from one of their pieces of candy.  So on and so forth until everyone in the circle has used all their hearts.  The story will get wackier and wackier. When you finish, everyone can "eat their words!"

Search Your Heart-
Make one very large heart as big as your construction paper will allow.  Tear the heart into chunks.  Write a message or scripture onto each piece.  Be creative, maybe things that would pertain to breaking a heart.  Hide the pieces and allow the children to "search their heart", thus reassembling all the pieces back together again to reveal the messages.  Have a little discussion about the messages.
