
























Slime- Two bowls water green food coloring glue measuring cups and spoons Borax
In the first bowl, mix together 3/4 c. warm water, 1 c. glue and several drops of green food coloring.
In the second bowl, mix together 4 t. borax and 1 3/4 c. warm water.
Pour the contents of the first bowl into the second, but don't stir. Let is sit for one min. then lift the now-congealed slime out of the bowl.
Divide the slime amongst the children. Store in ziplock baggies.
Ghost Pops- Cover some Charm or Tootsie Pops with white kleenex or white tissue paper. Gather and tie off with some string. Dot the "eyes" with black black marker. That's it!
Spider Pops- Hold four black pipecleaner. Find the center and wrap them around the base of the Pop. This will form a head. Glue on two wiggly eyes. Lastly, bend the pipe cleaner ends to form the 8 legs.
Marshmellow Straw Contest- This is an alternative game to apple dunking so they don't have to get their faces wet. Fill a bucket with water and float some marshmellow on top. Then, give each player a straw (it's easier to do if the straw is cut in half) and attempt to suck up the marshmellow and put it outside the bucket. Afterward you get to eat the marshmellows.
Dangling Donuts- Hang donuts by a string. The object is to have the participants see who can be the first one to completly devour his/her donut hanging from the string. No hands allowed! Just for the mess of it (or not) try chocolate covered!
Gum Sculpture- Give everyone an excessive amount of chewing gum and a toothpick. The object is to chew up the gum real good and then design a beautiful chewing gum sculpture.
Gum and Coolwhip Game- Hide an unchewed piece of bubble gum inside a big heap of cool whip. Start! The first person to find their piece of gum, chew it up and make a bubble wins.
Mummy Wrap- Each child or team will take turns wrapping up an adult with toilet paper until the paper is gone. It's funny because the faster you wrap the more tissue will tear. Then you have to start over.
Ghost Guess- Divide the guests up into two groups. One group removes themselves from the other group. One by one each player will reamerge with a sheet over his head. It's up to the other group to try and identify the person. Have a pretty long sheet so as to hide all clues.
Balloon Broom Sweep- Sweep a balloon down an obstacle course. The first person or team to complete the relay WINS!
Broom Tag- The person who is "IT" will attempt to tag the others with the end of the broom and yell "Broom Chaser"! If someone is tagged then they become the Broom Chaser. No hitting with the broom. Shorter brooms are available even little hand brooms.
Spider Web- Children stand in a wide circle. A ball of yarn is thrown across to another child. The child will hold onto a piece of the yarn and then throw the ball to another child in the circle. Continue until a spider web is created.
Spider Hunt- Hide those little plastic spiders all over. And continue to hide them repeatedly. Thru out the the party have the children look for them. The person to have collected the most spiders WINS!
Eyeball Relay- Draw some eyes on ping-pong balls. The children will attempt to balance them on spoons all the way to the end of the finishing line. Grapes may be substituted.
Oozing Eyeball- Just like playing hot potato only use a peeled hardboiled egg. Wouldn't it be fun if just the white was hardboiled and the yolk was still uncooked? Split one open just to show the kids what can happen. Toss the eyeball one to another as the music plays. When the music stops....your out!
Candy Corn Relay- Children will scoop up candy corn on a spoon and race to the end of a course where they will dump the contents into a bucket and race back. First full bucket WINS!
Candy Hunt- Hide a bunch of wrapped candies under a tub of cooked spagetti. Better have a cape on or something handy to wipe hands off. How about blindfolded?
Pumpkin Puzzle- Clean and carve out a few pumpkins. Then, cut them all up. Completely. The object of the game is to put your pumpkin back together again. Have some toothpicks there just in case you could use them to hold things together a bit easier.
Little Pumpkins in the Pantyhose Race- 4 little pumpkins (gourds actually) 2 pr. pantyhose
Split into 2 teams with half of each team at opposite ends of the room. Place a little pumpkin (gourd actually) in the toe of one leg of the pantyhose. Tie the other leg around your waist in such a way that the pumpkin is hanging just above floor level between your legs. Place another pumpkin on the floor in front of you. Move your body so that the pumpkin in the pantyhose is swinging to hit the pumpkin on the floor. When they get to the end, hand off their pantyhose to the next player.
Put a Face on the Pumpkin- Create a paper pumpkin and pin it up on the wall. Apply double face tape on the pumpkin as to where facial features should be stuck. Next, create eyes, noses, smiles, ears, etc.The object of the game is to vacuum up the features thru a straw and apply them to the faceless pumpkin pinned up.
This is fun and cute container for your favors. Save your paper towel and toilet paper rolls. Wrap them up with white tissue paper like ghosts. Tie off the end. Make a face and fill the inside with your favors. |

*Serve your punch in cauldrons. *Freeze punch in rubber gloves that have been washed out. Thaw by running warm water over gloves and add to your punch bowl. So what if the fingers may break off. Stick them in there too.
Ghoul-Aid Punch- Mix the following ingredients all together. 1 envelope each of cherry, greap and tropical punch unsweetened kool-aid. 2 3/4 c. sugar ice cubes
Phantom Punch- 1 qt. orange juice 1 qt. sltzer water or club soda 1/2 gal. sherbet apple pieces raisins tangerine slices grape juice
Combine the liquid ingredients in a large bowl or cauldron. Using a muffin tin. make several phantom faces by freezing apple pieces, raisins and tangerine slices in grape juice. Float these on the mixture. Complete by slicing sherbet into small squares and float on top. 8-10 servings.
REVOLTING RECIPES Monster Paws- Clear plastic gloves candy corn or hot tamales candy for fingernails popped popcorn plastic spider rings
Stuff your choice of candy for the fingernails down into the plastic gloves. Fill up with popcorn the rest of the way. Tie off at the wrist with decorative ribbon, a twist-tie or rubberband. Place the plastic spider ring on a finger. This may be used as favors or tie your invitation to it.
Dead Bones Sandwitches- Cut the crusts off some slices of white bread. Spread with peanutbutter and jelly. Roll 'em up. One slice at a time. Looks like bones with blood and marrow gushing out!
Eyeball Eggs- 6 hardboiled eggs, cooled and peeled 6 oz. whipped cream cheese 12 green olives stuffed with pimientos red food coloring or ketchup
Half the eggs widthwise. Not lengthwise like making normal deviled eggs. Remove yolks and fill the hole with cream cheese, smoothing surface as much as possible. Press an olive into each cream cheese eyeball, pimiento up, for an eerie green iris and red pupil. Dip a toothpick into ketchup and draw broken blood vessels in the cream cheese.

The Cake- Kitty Litter Cake- 1 new kitty litter box with liner and a scoop for the full effect 1 pkg. chocolate cake mix 1 pkg. white cake mix 1 3.5 oz pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix 1 pkg. vanilla sandwhich cookies 1 12 oz. pkg. tootsie rolls
Bake both cake mixes according to pkg. directions in any size pan. Let cool. Crumble up both cakes in a large bowl. Prepare the pudding according to pkg. directions. Chill. Gradually fold into the crumbled cake mixture. Make sure it is moist and not soppy. Crumble up the cookies. Add half to the crumbled cake and pudding. Pour mixture into the lined kitty litter box.
Ghost Cake- Bake a 9x13in. sheet cake. Let cool, then cut cake to resemble a ghost shape. Frost with white frosting, add black jelly beans for eyes.
Spider Cupcakes- Bake up a batch of cupcakes. Frost with black frosting. Attach black licorice for legs and red hots for glowing eyes.
Huge and Scary Spider Cake- Bake a chocolate cake using two bowls that are oven-safe. One bowl is twice as big as the other. When the cakes are cool, take the largest cake (the body) and cut it in half horizontally. Scoop out a good-sized cavity in the bottom half, then fill with green, yellow or red colored pudding for filling. Attach the two halves back together. Arrange the filled cake and the smaller cake (the head) on a serving platter. Frost with black tinted frosting. Attach black licorice for legs. Gum drops or hot tamali candies for glowing eyes. |

Pumpkin Cheesecake Pie- 2 8 oz. pkgs. of cream cheese 3/4 c. sugar 1 16 oz. can pumpkin 1 t. cinnamon 1/4 t. ginger 1/2 t. nutmeg dash of salt 2 eggs (They also make pumpkin pie spice premixed)
Mix together cream cheese and sugar. Blend the pumpkin, spices, and salt into the creamed mixture. Add eggs one at a time. Pour mixture into 9" deep pie shell. Bake at 350, for 50 min.

Wart On The Witch's Nose- While blindfolded, the child will attempt to get the target by placing chewed gum on the witch's nose. That's gross and I'm not going to touch it!
Pin The Smile On The Pumpkin- While blindfolded, the child will attempt to get the target by placing a smile on the jack O'lantern.
Pumpkin Toss- Test your skills by tossing eyeballs into pumpkins of various distances.
Pumpkin Pass- The object is to pass an orange tucked under the chin from player-player. The first group to pass along-through the whole line WINS! No hands allowed!
Pumpkinhead- What a balancing act! Turn the open end of a plastic pumkin upside down on your head and try to make it to the finishing line. First person or team to make it all the way to the end WINS! |
